Note: When the Taliban go around persecuting people because they felt it is a sin in their religion, it is
inappropriate, because forcing others to obey their interpretation of their religion and punishing people
for disobeying it, is a violation of human right. We even frown upon some Middle Eastern nation, for
practicing Sharia law. But when we go around condemning people, under the name "it is a sin" and want
the law to reinforce the law of Christianity or Catholicism, are we doing any different? Prior to 1980s,
Ireland had the Catholic Church Home for Unwed Mother, which is really a privately run prison, where
the Catholic church has the authority to throw unwed mothers into this prison and confiscate their
custody of their baby. Because according to Catholicism been an unwed mother is a sin. Isn't that
practicing a Christian version of the religious law? Minus using the suicide bombers, is that any different
from the Taliban? (The article is glad to inform the readers that to the best of the article’s knowledge,
the Catholic Church Home for Unwed Mothers, have been shut down and the Irish government had
apologized for it.)
